Join our expanding team in Mount Isa as a Workshop Service Technician – perfect for locals or FIFO from Brisbane/Townsville on an 8/6 family-friendly roster! Work with cutting-edge Sandvik mining equipment in a role that values safety, development, and work-life balance.

We have an exciting opportunity for Workshop Service Technicians to join our expanding service team at our Mount Isa facility. This role is perfect for local residents or FIFO workers from Brisbane or Townsville, operating on a family-friendly 8 on 6 off roster.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of Sandvik mobile mining equipment.
- Conduct mechanical maintenance in line with equipment maintenance plans, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of parts usage, equipment status, and work hours.
- Provide insightful feedback to improve maintenance planning and machine performance.
- Uphold and promote a robust safety culture, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety policies and procedures.

What You Bring:

- Australian-recognized Mechanical Trade Certification (Heavy Vehicle, Mobile Plant preferred, Light Vehicle may be considered).
- Previous experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment is highly advantageous.
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a commitment to customer service and safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer literacy and strong record-keeping abilities.
- Class C Manual Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.
- Willingness to relocate to Mount Isa or FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville.
