About The Role
As the Data and Reporting Officer, you will design, implement and support electronic database systems in the Licensing and Regulatory Interventions unit to maintain and enhance the high standard of data management processes, systems and service quality. This is a job share arrangement with one other person, making strong communication skills essential. The position is offered in a temporary part‑time capacity Wednesday – Friday (43.5 hours per fortnight).

The Licensing and Regulatory Interventions unit is responsible for processing and advising on licensing and authorisations; and compliance and business engagement to support the high risk work licensing, general construction induction training and health and safety representative training frameworks.
Key responsibilities
* Provide data management support for the function of all of Licensing and Regulatory Interventions' licensing databases.
* Identify potential application and database training needs and develop and deliver training programmes for the Licensing and Regulatory Interventions unit.
* Contribute to the design and development of functional system specifications, user guides, system administration guides and test plans for acceptance testing.
* Undertake advanced analysis of data utilising SQL/VBA, and various applications and methods to enable integrated data and process improvement services to Licensing and Regulatory Interventions.
* Take responsibility for and actively contribute to the development and maintenance of innovative IT solutions for complex business problems relating to reporting and process tasks that support key business decisions.
* Utilise well‑developed conceptual, root cause analysis and analytical skills to contribute towards the development and maintenance of Excel VBA applications and data models to resolve customer issues.
* Provide advice and recommendations for the development of technical and process solutions within Licensing and Regulatory Interventions and associated business units.
* Manage the development, implementation and support of VBA‑based applications and datasets using project management principles and practices.
* Develop performance and quality metric reporting and forecasting using data analysis, validation and visualisation techniques to support key business decisions.
* Facilitate effective communications and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
* Proactively foster a high‑performing team culture by working independently and professionally in accordance with health and safety policies and service quality standards, in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
