Civil Contractor - Water Treatment Plant / Substations Negotiable salary pending experience Southeast Suburbs, Melbourne The Company A very exciting Tier 3 contractor specialising in civil earthworks / utilities packages to clients building substations and waste water treatment plants across Victoria. The business is expanding to new sectors and increasing their service offerings to their established clients. You will work closely with the Director of the business, the Operations Manager and 2 other Estimators in a tight-knit pre-construction team. If you are an experienced Estimator pricing utilities packages (elec or water), we are interested in speaking with you. Requirements & Responsibilities: Track record estimating from first principles for civil utility projects in Melbourne Lead the charge for quality over all tendering and pricing activities coming into the business Risk-averse from initial concept design stage, value engineer solutions, and reduce project delays. Be a conduit between, Project, Operations and Estimating teams to solve technical problems Be one of the final points of review for all tender submissions and bid proposals Negotiate contract terms directly with clients, consultants and subcontractors Continuously refine processes, procedures and technologies for successful outcomes As the ideal applicant, you will have: Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing civil construction projects in Australia in a similar role.
