Overview

This is a Permanent appointment for 76 hours per fortnight. We currently have one position available.

Role and responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for leading and managing the Emergency Department (ED) nursing team, to deliver evidence-based care to achieve optimal patient outcomes within allocated resources. The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is responsible for maintaining and improving clinical standards, developing effective solutions, and delivering results aligned with service and organisational goals. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, the NUM ensures the department meets patient-centred care expectations and performs against quality, budget, and workforce indicators. The role also provides expert consultation and liaison services to internal and external stakeholders within the NUM's area of clinical expertise.

Rockingham Peel Group is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia and comprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, in addition to community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana. As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General is focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care. Murray District Hospital offers inpatient medical services, palliative care and allied health services.
