In this role the successful candidate will lead and manage the University's Accommodation Operations Business including providing strategic leadership to the Accommodation Operations team.Key responsibilities:based at the Darlington Campus, you will lead and manage Accommodation Operations with responsibility for customer service, strategy, safety, compliance, marketing, relationships, and the business P&Lensure the provision of excellent 24/7 customer service across all accommodation operations, proactively identifying issues and implementing continuous system improvementslead the annual budget setting process in consultation with the Director, Property & Development, ensuring alignment with university procedures including annual rent setting, monthly reporting, and reforecastingmanage the Accommodation Operations team including resource management, guidance, development, succession planning, and performance to build a high performing team that delivers exceptional outcomesbuild strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners and residentsensure a safe working and living environment for all staff and students, continuously monitoring and evaluating risks and opportunities for improvement in line with university policies and legislative requirementsSupport the ongoing development of a new operations pipeline, including business case input and leading the operationalisation of new accommodation assets as they near completion.About yousenior management experience in a student accommodation settingpostgraduate qualifications or an equivalent combination of training and experienceasset management experience including development of long-term plans to ensure accommodation asset are well maintainedfinancial management skills including previous experience managing P&L's and managing the budget including monitoring income, costs and expenditures to ensure alignment with financial plans, forecasts and agreed targetsdemonstrated experience in the supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff; and experience managing and resolving a diverse range of HR issuesextensive experience in operational management in a residential settingexperience managing a diverse group of key stakeholders on large or complex projects and the ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships with industry providers and key usersexcellent program management and planning skills, coupled with a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
