Job Overview
As a Facilities Leadership Specialist, you will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of complex systems and facilities. This role requires strategic planning, budgetary control, and leadership skills to ensure seamless facility management.
* Direct work groups and units in planning, construction, maintenance, operation, repair, renovation, alteration, and demolition of buildings, structures, equipment, machinery, and other facilities.
* Evaluate and negotiate bids from outside engineering, architectural, and construction firms.
* Establish schedules, budgetary controls, allocate expenditures, and oversee major construction activities requiring integration with engineering, architectural, contracts, and government agencies.
* Ensure compliance with contract specifications, insurance requirements, and local building codes.
* Review and approve architectural/engineering drawings.
* Participate in departmental strategic planning and ensure skills are available when needed.
* Develop and maintain relationships with other engineering organizations to stay up-to-date on developments in allied fields.
* Interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to organizational policies and corporate initiatives.
* Establish quality systems and instill values and ethics.
* Hire employees, manage dismissals, conduct performance evaluations, and plan salary increases.
* Establish department and individual performance goals, review employee performance against goals, and champion, coach, and motivate team members.
