I am currently partnered with a Federal Government Agency who is seeking an APS5 Information Management Officer for a 12 month, full time assignment commencing ASAP.
**Your new role**
As the APS5 Information Management Officer, you will be required to undertake various information, records and knowledge management related research activities and tasks. This position will also perform work that involves team leadership responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and allocating work to staff members within the team. Further responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of policies and processes to ensure records and information management compliance.
- Contributing to the provision of specialist information management advice and recommendations to individuals and teams across the Agency.
- Monitoring Agency information management activities.
- Assisting in training, advice and support on the Agency's records management system.
- Contributing to a range of information management activities and improvement projects.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed as the APS5 Information Management Officer, you will need:
- Previous experience in a Government records management role
- Knowledge of legislative requirements for information and records management
- Experience providing leadership, management, coaching and mentoring of team members
- IT proficiency including MS Office and Record Management Software
- Exceptional communication, both written and verbal
- A high attention to detail
- Australian Citizenship and willingness to obtain a Worker Screening Check
