Wide Bay Oral Health Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Oral Health Therapist – Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality oral health care within our School Dental Service based at Bundaberg Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on the oral health of children across the Wide Bay region.
Your Opportunity:
* Provide high quality oral health therapy services to eligible clients within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
* Provide leadership, strategic direction and advocacy in the management of the Child & Adolescent Oral Health Program and authoritative counsel to Oral Health Management, Dental and Oral Health Therapists and other relevant stakeholders across the Health Service.
* Provide and apply well developed discipline specific clinical knowledge and skills, health promotion and public health expertise to contribute to the strategic direction of the oral health service.
What we're looking for:
* Demonstrated advanced skill, capability and knowledge in the delivery of Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene clinical services within the prescribed range of duties under the current Legislative Acts and Code of Practice.
* Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative counsel to oral health management and other key stakeholders on matters including legislation, policies and guidelines concerning Dental Therapy, Dental Hygiene, Oral Health Promotion and service quality.
* Demonstrated ability to provide strategic management of the Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene services in the Health Service and source funding, develop, coordinate and manage oral health promotion and facility quality initiatives.
* Experience in the prevention, identification and management of medical emergencies.
* Knowledge of procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position and a knowledge of and leadership in contemporary human resource management, with particular reference to workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Mandatory possession of a Bachelor of Oral Health or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution and eligibility for registration as a Dental Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
* Possession of an appropriate Use Licence issued under the Queensland Radiation Safety Act 1999.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $172,615 p.a., comprising salary between $144,991 - $151,289 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
