Where You'll Be Working
The Drug & Alcohol Clinical Services (DACS) Intake Team is a small, dynamic and supportive team based at the James Fletcher Campus in Newcastle. We provide a vital entry point for people accessing drug and alcohol services, supporting clients and their families at an important time in their care journey.

About The Role
This role provides efficient and effective administrative support within the DACS Intake Service. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important part in keeping the service running smoothly.
A Typical Day May Include
Processing referrals and updating patient information
Providing administrative support to the Intake Team and broader DACS teams
Assisting with procurement and HealthRoster tasks
Responding to medico-legal requests
Supporting DACS Administration as required
The service operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (excluding public holidays).
About You
You are a motivated and enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in providing high-quality administrative support.

Confidence using computer systems and managing confidential information
Experience in a health or clinical setting is desirable, but many aspects of the role can be learned on the job with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Support And Development
You will be well supported in your role, with guidance and supervision from the Nurse Unit Manager, the DACS Intake Clinical Lead, and the wider Drug & Alcohol Clinical Services team. Comprehensive orientation and on-the-job training will be provided, along with access to ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
