Blackbox Marketing Pty ltd T/A Blackbox Design & Digital is looking for a full-time Systems Administrator to join our team.
Salary Range - $80000- $85000
Business Location - West Perth, WA 6005
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain database architecture, data structures, tables, dictionaries, and naming conventions to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
2. Perform operational establishment and preventive maintenance of system backups, recovery procedures, and enforce data security and integrity controls.
3. Implement and administer database documentation, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
4. Test and upgrade database systems, including debugging, logging, tracking, reproducing, and resolving issues in line with quality assurance standards.
5. Manage processes, procedures, and operations associated with system security and disaster recovery planning.
6. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to install, configure, and maintain software security applications while monitoring contractual performance obligations.
7. Troubleshoot and provide service support for diagnosing, resolving, and repairing hardware, software, workstation, and communication infrastructure issues.
8. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, policies, and system logs.
9. Monitor and optimise the performance of computer systems and networks to ensure reliability and efficiency.
10. Assess current IT infrastructure, forecast future system requirements, and make recommendations for upgrades and network enhancements.
Skills & Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience in system and network administration within a complex IT environment.
3. Strong knowledge of operating systems, databases, and server environments.
4. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving across hardware, software, and networking.
5. Solid understanding of data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices.
6. Experience with IT security, firewalls, and monitoring tools.
7. Solid organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
