ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure.

This role is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The Procurement Officer will work closely with the Commercial Manager and other stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with ConnectSydney's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the onboarding process for subcontractors and suppliers.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of subcontractors.
* Oversee the subcontractor feedback and performance evaluation process.
* Ensure competitive sourcing and initiate contract development during the tender process.
* Conduct pre-award evaluations of subcontract and supply packages using qualitative and quantitative criteria.
* Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on procurement policies, systems, and compliance requirements
* Support achievement of head contract obligations, including First Nations participation, female workforce inclusion, and sustainability initiatives.
* Negotiate best value-for-money outcomes and finalise subcontract terms and conditions.
* Maintain a comprehensive subcontract register.
* Monitor and report on performance against local content and diversity targets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Provide high-level support to project teams in subcontractor engagement and administration. Assist with commercial administration across other projects as needed.
* Identify procurement-related risks and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with the Commercial Manager and relevant stakeholders
* Regularly review procurement processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and improved supplier performance
About You:
* Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience in procurement or contracts administration, preferably in the construction industry.
* Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and administrative roles.
* Proficiency in contract and project administration.
* Familiarity with Felix Procurement Software
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in either engineering, technical, project management or a related discipline
