The Director, Infrastructure Integration and Oversight provides strategic leadership to support the delivery of major Department of Health infrastructure initiatives and ongoing contract management of public private partnership (PPP) projects. The role serves as the key interface between the department and the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Agency (VIDA) Health.
The Director plays a pivotal system stewardship role in shaping the department's approach to health infrastructure delivery, acting as a key strategic interface between the department and infrastructure delivery agencies and partners. The role provides authoritative guidance on governance, project integration, change control and assurance, ensuring infrastructure initiatives remain aligned to clinical priorities and deliver tangible benefits for the Victorian health system.
The Director also has oversight of the Department of Health's PPP Contract Administration Unit. The role is accountable for managing the transition of health PPP infrastructure projects from commissioning into ongoing contract management, ensuring a controlled, compliant and seamless shift from project delivery to steady-state operations.
The Director partners with infrastructure delivery agencies, health services and other Department of Health business units to effectively and proactively manage financial, commercial and operational impacts of PPP projects. The Director also leads the establishment and execution of assurance and compliance processes to confirm contractual obligations are met. Through this work, the role safeguards value for money and supports long-term contractual performance and accountability.
Leading multidisciplinary teams, the Director champions best practice in health infrastructure project assurance, contract management and continuous improvement. The role is responsible for building strong relationships across stakeholders, strengthens governance and performance mechanisms, and ensures contract and assurance activities are delivered with integrity, transparency and operational excellence.

About You
We're looking for some one who possesses the following:
Expertise in health commissioning and public sector investment, budget governance and negotiation with central agencies
Extensive experience in health finance, economics, policy or investment planning
An understanding of health infrastructure projects or health service delivery requirements would be highly regarded.
Significant demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Government's High Value High Risk and Partnership Victoria policy frameworks, including experience in the administration of Public Private Partnership projects.
A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, public policy, engineering, construction project management or a related discipline
