Job Summary:
As a Landscaping Apprentice, you will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced landscapers to learn the skills necessary for designing, installing, and maintaining various landscaping projects. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working outdoors and eager to develop a career in landscaping.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with Landscaping Projects:
* Assisting with landscape construction works on-site.
* Operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
Learning and Development:
* Attend training sessions and workshops to learn about plants, soil, set outs, and landscaping techniques.
* Shadow experienced landscapers to gain hands-on experience.
* Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and landscaping plans.
* Actively stay involved and provide input in company goals and structures.
Safety and Compliance:
* Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Skills and Abilities:
* Strong interest in landscaping and horticulture.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
* Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to learn and take direction.
Additional Requirements:
* Valid driver's license is required.
Work Environment:
* Outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
* Physical stamina to handle tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
