Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

Currently we are seeking a Clinical Midwife Specialist (CMS) Ambulatory Care to join our team. Clinical Midwife Specialist (CMS) Ambulatory Care, in partnership with the Midwifery Manager Ambulatory Care (MMA), is responsible for the delivery of quality evidenced based patient care within their speciality and in collaboration with the Multi-disciplinary team. The CMS supports the MMA by supervising the delivery of quality patient care, through developing standards of practice, implementing changes to clinical practice, education of staff and initiating research and quality improvement activities. The CMS is responsible for the provision of a consultation service within their area of expertise within the Hospital.

As a senior midwife, has professional accountability to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery and provides mentorship and role modelling for nurses and midwives and contributes to the advancement of the profession, in keeping with the vision and values for Fiona Stanley Nursing and Midwifery.
