We are currently searching for a full-time warehouse assistant to join our team. This position will be based in Charters Towers, Queensland. A warehouse assistant is responsible for various tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This role is integral to maintaining organised inventory management, fulfilling orders accurately and promptly, and contributing to a safe and productive working environment. Our store trades 7 days a week so you must be available to work every third weekend on a rotating roster.Hours:Monday - Friday: 8:35am - 5:10pmSaturday: 8:40am - 2:10pmSunday: 9:35am - 1:10pm(Every third weekend)As a warehouse assistant you will be responsible for:Assisting with inventory managementProviding assistance in front of store salesPerforming routine checks on warehouse equipmentMaintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environmentWorking collaboratively with other warehouse staff, supervisors and departmentsEfficient handling of incoming shipments, including verifying contents, recording received quantities and processing returnsTimely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders by picking items from inventory, packing them securely and preparing them for deliveryA willingness to learnA dedication to accuracyExperience with inventory control processesExperience working in a warehouse environmentExcellent time management, organisational and technical skillsExperience working collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and higher managementExperience performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various temperature conditions typical of warehouse environmentsAbout W.
