We are seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support Manager who is passionate about mentoring the next generation of ILS/IPS practitioners, while leading delivery on a critical Defence acquisition project.
The role will lead the development and establishment of the Support System for the LAND 8710 Phase 2 – Landing Craft Heavy project. Defence Maritime experience will be highly regarded. Australian Citizenship is required.
The Land 8710Ph2 ILS Manager is responsible for:
* Leading the development of the LCH Support System.
* Supporting and Advising the Project Executive.
* Develop and secure stakeholder approval for Integrated Logistics Concepts, Support System requirements, and plans in partnership with Capability Sponsors and FIC stakeholders.
* Accountable for development of materiel logistics strategies, concepts, and plans supporting acquisition projects (including SoW and Source Evaluation activities).
* Lead and coordinate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) teams, ensuring effective integration across all SSCC / FIC domains.
* Assure contractor logistics plans, processes, and deliverables to ensure alignment with Defence ILS concepts and contractual requirements.
* Coordinate and conduct multi-stakeholder reviews of contractor deliverables, including remediation workshops where required.
* Provide logistics assurance across LSA, maintenance, supply support, and training support products to ensure fitness for purpose.
* Work closely with engineering, configuration management, and GFE teams to ensure alignment between support products, configurations, and baselines.
* Support governance through IPT forums, working groups, and advice to Project Manager and Principal Engineer on ILS risks and issues.
* Support transition of capability from Acquisition to Sustainment in collaboration with the SPO.
The following requirements are essential:
* Have an Australian Government security clearance of at least NV1.
* Must work from Constitution Avenue, Canberra.
* Must have experience working with DEF(AUST)5691 with an excellent understanding of the relationships across ILS/IPS, LSA Activities, Support system T&E / V&V)
The following requirements are desirable:
* Recognised as an ILS/IPS Practitioner/Professional (ACSI/CLEPS/SOLE)
* Engineering degree or equivalent experience
