Overview
A major player in Australia's energy and infrastructure landscape managing key assets across the country and driving forward initiatives that support a more sustainable and resilient energy future is looking for an Energy & Resources Lawyer with 3-6 years' PAE. This legal team is well‐regarded, collaborative and deeply embedded in the commercial operations of the business.
In this role you will be business facing, so the ability to build strong working relationships is required. You'll work closely with an exceptional General Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel and team who are known for being collaborative, approachable and be involved in some of the organisation's most exciting projects.
Responsibilities
* Advise on commercial and energy-sector contracts, including PPAs and operational agreements.
* Draft and review commercial documents such as term sheets, letters, variations and project documentation.
* Negotiate confidentiality agreements and third-party commercial agreements.
* Provide clear, practical BAU legal support and contract interpretation to business stakeholders.
* Work with closely with an exceptional General Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel and legal team and the wider business on projects and energy-transition initiatives.
Qualifications
* 3-6 years' PAE (Energy & Resources) preferred.
* Desire to kick start or accelerate an in-house career, from top or mid-tier firms, highly-regarded boutique firms or leading in-house teams with a strong grounding in energy sector work.
* Strong ability to build business relationships and support cross-functional teams in a commercial environment.
