The Hedland Hotel are seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of our property to provide guest accommodation, meals and other services. This role is responsible for the daily operational efficiency of the hotel (Housekeeping, Front Office and Food and Beverage) ensuring the delivery of exceptional service for all guests.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee operations and maintain a highly visible presence in guest service contact areas – front office, lobby, housekeeping and food and beverage outlets.
* Manage Guest service requirements and planning in relation to guest arrivals, departures and requirements during their stay to ensure exceptional guest service.
* Review all arrivals and departures daily. Manage and coordinate repeat guest program and guest history information to maximize guest experience and increase customer loyalty.
* Meet and Greet VIP guests and attend to special requests.
* Ensure that all food and beverage areas display the highest level of cleanliness and presentation.
* Ensure maintenance requests are completed quickly focusing on guest facing areas as a priority within the department.
* Ensure there is management support and presence visible in the functions, restaurant and bar areas and throughout the hotel at any time.
* Address and resolve major guest complaints.
* Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in a hotel, motel, or hospitality management role
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Sound financial and business acumen
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
* Knowledge of property management systems (PMS) is highly regarded
* Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Salary between $76, 515 and $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
