About the role
The Graduate School of Medicine is seeking a teaching focused academic to contribute to the design and delivery of high quality learning and assessment experiences for students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
You'll support student learning across the medical sciences, with a particular focus on anatomy (including structural, functional and neuroanatomy), the musculoskeletal system, and related disciplines such as physiology and pharmacology, within a clinical context. You'll contribute to the design, development and implementation of MD program materials, learning activities, Case Based Learning (CBL) sessions and assessments, supporting student engagement and effective learning outcomes across the program.
About you
You're an experienced educator with demonstrated expertise delivering high quality teaching in a university or medical school setting, including lecturing, small group facilitation and anatomy and neuroanatomy practical sessions. You will hold a PhD in anatomy, or in a medical sciences field such as physiology, pharmacology or a related discipline. You bring a strong understanding of quality assurance, risk management and WH&S requirements in higher education, along with an awareness of the NSW Anatomy Act and the regulatory environment governing university anatomy laboratories. You also demonstrate a genuine commitment to culturally respectful and safe practices, valuing diversity and inclusiveness in all aspects of your work.
