Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical and safety control systems across a diverse range of high-performance machinery. Your role will require strong technical expertise in both hardware and control software systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and control panels for industrial motion equipment, including PCB designs
- Develop integrated control systems with a focus on safety PLCs and functional safety
- Select and integrate motors, gearboxes, VSDs, frequency drives, and servo systems
- Lead system commissioning, testing, and documentation, both in-house and onsite
- Collaborate with the team to develop and test prototypes
Qualifications
- Formal qualifications in Electrical engineering and/or Electrical Design
- Robust knowledge of motors, VSDs, servo systems, power braking, and industrial automation
- Hands-on experience with safety PLCs and overarching control architecture
- Demonstrated experience with motors, gearboxes, electrical braking, hoists, trolleys, pile winds, drive controllers and electrical safety systems
