Overview
We are looking for a Pathology Collector to service Pathology clinic in Hervey Bay and Maryborough. Part time or Casual position available.
Responsibilities
- Take blood and other specimens from patients including performing 24hr Blood Pressure and Holter monitoring.
- Processing of Pathology Specimens.
- Clerical duties and processing paperwork.
- Ability to communicate with the team, referring Doctors and patients.
- Ability to demonstrate organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Ability to work alone and participate in the weekend roster in any of our collection centres.
Skills and experience
- Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method.
- Collection of blood and other samples from patients.
- Experience in ABP and Holter monitors preferred but not essential.
- Processing of Pathology Specimens.
- Basic computer skills.
- Comply with Work Health and Safety.
Requirements
- Own car and current driver licence is required.
- Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19.
- Work With Children - Blue Card.
- It is a requirement that a current Working With Children check clearance is provided upon commencement of employment.
