This facility includes specialised services for adult, older adult, psychiatric intensive care, and a young adult and youth service. Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays. Working various shifts starting from: Shifts start times 0630, 1045, 1100 and 1330. About The Role As a member of our team within the newly established Mental Health Unit kitchen, you will report directly to the Head Chef. Your role will involve operating in a team-oriented environment as well as being able to work independently. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Undertake cleaning and detailing of equipment within the kitchen and pantry areas. Following the hospitals HACCP/Food Safety Plan. Pot wash, washing all areas of the kitchen. Cleaning and sanitising. Assist in reordering of chemical supplies. Collection of stores, stock rotation and conduct temperature checks. Assisting the chef About You To excel in this position, we seek a proactive and enthusiastic team member with a genuine enthusiasm for catering services. Previous experience in a comparable food service environment, particularly within a clinical setting, will be highly valued. Ideally you will also bring: Previous experience in a hospital or hospitality environment. Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles. Proven ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required. Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate of $28.71 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
