Overview
The Diocese of Lismore stretches along the coastal strip of New South Wales from Tweed Heads in the north to Laurieton in the south and west to the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. The Catholic Schools Office provides a range of services to support approximately 3,500 staff in 45 vibrant and dynamic school communities that serve more than 18,500 students.
Application Process
Within your application, you will be asked to nominate the role in which you are interested to undertake and schools in the area you are interested in approaching for work. Once your application has been processed by Human Resources by completing checks and verifications, you will be issued a casual contract in preparation to be considered for work in the Diocese of Lismore.
Casual School Staff - Employment Registration
You will be provided with a casual contract, however, a casual contract is no promise of work, ongoing work, or otherwise. It allows you to contact the school / s you have nominated within your application to seek casual work.

* Classroom Learning and Support
* Cleaner
* Maintenance / Grounds person
* Exam Supervisor - Limited only after approval by Principal
* Presiding Officer Limited only after approval by Principal
Requirements
All applicants are required to complete a "system application form" which includes :
Uploading documentation :
* 100 points of identification (as per list here) - certified copies (combined into one document)
* degree / diploma / certificates, transcripts if applicable - certified copies (combined into one document)
* resume and cover letter (no more than one page) addressing the criteria
* provide your Working with Children Check details
Criteria to be addressed in the application
* qualifications if applicable in the area of employment selected
* a commitment to the requirements of the diocese Accreditation To Work Teach and Lead document
* a willingness to contribute positively as part of a professional learning community.
* applicants need to be willing and able to participate in and support the religious dimension of Diocesan Catholic Schools
Reference Checks
Catholic Schools Office have implemented a software solution for electronic reference checking.
* This means you will receive an email request to submit your referee contacts via X-Refsoftware .
* Reference requests will be sent to your two (2) elected referees via X-Ref software. Referees have the option to complete your reference check via their laptop or mobile devices.
* On your application form, there is an option to provide a third referee such as your Parish Priest, OUTSIDE of the X-Refsoftware.
