Business Development Manager
As a key player in our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving business growth by managing strategic accounts and distribution partners. Your primary objective will be to execute sales plans, including product placement and promotions, to achieve predetermined targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth across assigned accounts.
* Build strong relationships with retailers such as Kmart, Big W, and Target to ensure successful product placement and promotional execution.
* Monitor performance metrics, manage orders, and prepare forecasts to inform business decisions.
* Manage account administration, including reporting, pricing, and delivery updates, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
* Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to deliver cohesive business solutions.
* Support inventory planning initiatives to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
* Liaise with finance teams to negotiate credit terms and invoicing processes.
* Deliver engaging sales presentations and seasonal reviews to stakeholders.
* Inform business strategies with competitor and customer insights to maintain market competitiveness.
* Promote the business at trade shows and industry meetings to establish thought leadership.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in retail account management or sales.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build effective relationships.
* Proven ability to manage operational tasks across multiple accounts simultaneously.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ERP/CRM experience is highly desirable.
* Analytical and highly organized approach to work.
