Ministerial and Correspondence Manager
Employment Type: Temporary Full-Time (up to May 2027)
Location: Sydney, NSW, AU, 2000 (access to hybrid working arrangements)
Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10, ($129,464 - $142,665) + super + leave loading.
The Opportunity
Join the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) in a key leadership role managing ministerial and high‐priority correspondence. You'll lead a small team in a fast‐paced environment, ensuring timely, accurate and high‐quality responses to complex and sensitive matters. This is an opportunity to influence service delivery, strengthen complaint handling practices and work closely with senior stakeholders across government.
Responsibilities
* Lead the management of ministerial matters, complaints and correspondence.
* Oversee quality, accuracy and timeliness of outgoing responses.
* Allocate and prioritise work to meet competing deadlines.
* Identify and manage sensitive or high‐risk issues.
* Liaise with senior executives, Ministerial offices and stakeholders.
* Monitor trends and drive improvements in complaint handling.
* Support, coach and develop a small team.
Qualifications
* Proven ability to manage high‐volume, time‐critical correspondence with accuracy.
* Strong stakeholder engagement across senior and diverse audiences.
* Experience leading teams and driving performance outcomes.
* Sound understanding of government processes and complaint handling.
* Capacity to work in an environment that may involve potential exposure to psychosocial hazards related to the range of services provided in a tribunal environment.
