Delivery Managers unblock issues, support the delivery team, and monitor and improve team performance. They use agile methodologies, learning and iterating the product and processes frequently to meet user needs. They work with Product Managers to define product and service roadmaps, remove blockers, and support delivery teams to maintain throughput.
The Delivery Manager will be responsible for working with the Program Executive, broader program team, and stakeholders across various technical and non-technical areas of the organisation to ensure effective project and program discipline supporting the Telecommunications Services Program (TSP).
This includes working closely with Project and Stream Leads, Project Managers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are clearly scoped, aligned with the strategic direction of the organisation, and completed in accordance with agreed schedules, with performance measured against a defined Performance Measurement Baseline.
The Delivery Manager will also be responsible for ensuring an orderly and timely disengagement under an existing Managed Telecommunications Services (MTS) contract, ensuring adherence to disengagement principles within the contract extension.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Under the direction of the Program Executive, set prioritisation to inform and implement delivery of the TSP
* Work collaboratively with Project Leads, Project Managers, and Schedulers to build and implement a Performance Measurement Baseline with periodic reporting
* Ensure timely and orderly implementation of new capability and disengagement of current services in accordance with the Program Schedule.
* Work with the Programme/Program Management Office to support management of project deliverables and compliance with organisational expectations.
* Identify and manage project interdependencies and broader organisational dependencies, including development of dependency management approaches where required.
* Prepare written material including reports, executive papers, and briefing documents.
* Form, lead, and motivate multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on maximising contribution to program and project delivery.
* Develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Apply a strong cybersecurity background to plan and deliver cyber-related deliverables within a sensitive program of work.
Experience and Capability Requirements:
* Experience delivering telecommunications uplift projects with a cyber focus
* Experience managing large, multi-year programs of work
* Demonstrated commercial aptitude to negotiate deliverables and expectations with vendors
* Highly developed communication skills with the ability to influence across all organisational levels
* Ability to develop integrated delivery documents aligned to business, technology, and vendor schedules
* Ability to schedule and facilitate meetings and workshops with diverse stakeholder groups
Technical Skills:
* Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying Essential Eight, ISM, and PSPF frameworks
