About The Role
We are seeking a passionate Allied Health Assistant to join our thriving clinic on a 1 year fixed-term, full-time basis.
As our new Allied Health Assistant, your duties will include but not be limited to:
* Assisting our therapists by preparing treatment areas, setting up equipment, and helping implement prescribed therapy or exercise programs under supervision.
* Therapist that will be requiring assistance include our Podiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists.
* Providing therapy as guided and where appropriate for clinicians.
* Guiding our clients through tailored exercise or rehabilitation programs (as directed by the clinician), ensuring safe and correct technique, and monitoring progress or concerns during sessions.
* Assisting with administrative tasks such as booking appointments, maintaining accurate client records, and preparing progress notes for supervising clinicians.
* Maintaining cleanliness and functionality of treatment areas and gym equipment, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff.
* Providing a welcoming and supportive environment for clients, helping them feel comfortable and motivated to achieve their health and wellness goals.
* Monitoring clinic supplies (e.g., therapy tools, towels, cleaning products) and assist in restocking or ordering to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
About You
The successful applicant must be friendly, have excellent communication skills, and be a good team player. We expect that our staff are enthusiastic and driven in their thirst for knowledge and development.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have/be:
* An Allied Health Assistant Certification
* Customer service experience - experience in allied health / medical reception is advantageous
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to confidently engage with people of all ages, including children
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software, with a mature and professional approach to work
* A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing competing demands
* Highly organised with excellent time management, multitasking, and attention to detail
