* Help shape fair and lawful access to government information. * Work on complex FOI matters that affect people across Victoria. * Use your legal and problem-solving skills in a trusted advisory role. * Join a skilled team focused on clear processes and better public service. * Ongoing, full-time role earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super. What you will do As senior advisor, freedom of information (FOI), you will support lawful and timely FOI decisions across the department. You will help improve FOI systems, guide staff and manage complex reviews and enquiries. You will: * provide expert advice on FOI requests, reviews and complaints * prepare clear briefings and guidance on complex FOI matters * manage FOI-related Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal matters * build strong working relationships across the department and with external agencies * improve FOI processes, support reporting and provide practical guidance to FOI staff. About you You should have strong experience interpreting and applying the Freedom of Information Act 1982. You will also need high-level computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and records management systems. You should also have: * specialist knowledge of FOI law and related processes * strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement under pressure * the ability to build trusted working relationships across teams and agencies * a focus on continuous improvement, clear systems and quality work.
