Workfast is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator for ongoing works on a Substation & Switching Station project near Minore, NSW. This role starts ASAP on a major solar infrastructure project.
Role Details
* Pay Rate: $44.00 p/hr + OT + Super
* Location: Minore / Dubbo Region, NSW
* Start: ASAP
* Hours: 6:50am starts, 10–12 hour shifts
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to support civil construction activities on a substation and switching station upgrade. You must be reliable, safety-focused, and competent operating excavators around live services, foundations, trenches, and other civil works. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a high-risk environment are essential.
What You Will Be Doing
* Operating excavators for trenching, footings, battering, backfilling and general civil works
* Working around live services and critical infrastructure
* Assisting civil crews during substation construction activities
* Supporting tasks such as foundations, drainage installation and materials handling
* Conducting pre-start checks and maintaining plant to required standards
* Following all substation access, safety and environmental requirements
Must Have
* White Card (Construction Induction)
* Excavator License (RIIMPO320F – Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations - preferred)
* Drivers Licence & Reliable Transport
* Previous experience operating excavators on civil or infrastructure projects
* Strong safety awareness and ability to follow strict site access and PPE requirements
* Physically fit and able to assist with labouring tasks when required
* No camp/accommodation provided — local or Dubbo-based candidates preferred
