Selection Criteria

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
Can you outline your senior midwifery leadership experience, including how you have led teams, managed a clinical unit, and ensured the effective use of human, physical, and financial resources to deliver safe, high‑quality, and culturally responsive care?
How have you applied critical thinking and evidence‑based practice in the management of a midwifery unit to ensure high standards of clinical care, quality improvement, and positive outcomes for women and families?
Describe your ability to effectively communicate and engage with women, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to identify care needs, support collaborative practice, and ensure responsive, woman‑centred care.
Can you provide examples of how you have contributed to risk management, work health and safety, and performance management, including addressing conflict or performance issues in a professional and constructive manner?
