About the role
You'll be working hands-on at Alcoa Portland Aluminium Smelter carrying out remediation works for approximately 6 months. Your work will play a crucial part in maintaining structural integrity across various sections of the smelter.

Key Responsibilities
Perform blasting and painting tasks on structural components (steel structures, cable tray supports, air slide supports, handrails, gantries).
Engage in encapsulation and ensure environmental safety in line with Alcoa's Environmental Policy.
Work collaboratively with a team using scaffolding and rope access techniques.
About you
Local applicants from the Portland region strongly encouraged.
Proven experience as a Trade Assistant within a heavy industrial setting.
Driver Licence.
High Risk Work Licence – LF, WP desirable.
Working at Heights (within 2 years).
Construction White Card.
