About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Media and Corporate Communications Manager to lead Kia's media relations and corporate messaging strategy. This pivotal role is responsible for protecting, enhancing, and communicating Kia's brand reputation across all media and stakeholder channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Media Relations & Publicity: Build strong relationships with motoring media, manage press releases, and secure positive coverage. Act as Kia's spokesperson and coordinate interviews.
* Corporate Communications: Develop and implement communication strategies aligned with Kia's brand values. Manage crisis communications and stakeholder messaging.
* Content Development: Create high-quality content for press releases, speeches, newsletters, and reports with attention to detail and brand compliance.
* Brand Reputation Management: Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, implementing proactive strategies to protect Kia's reputation.
* Event & Campaign Support: Collaborate with Marketing on product launches and sponsorships, coordinating media attendance and coverage.
* Reporting & Analysis: Track media coverage, report on KPIs, manage MCC budgets, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
* 7+ years' experience in corporate communications, media relations, or PR roles.
* Proven ability to develop and execute communication strategies and manage media relationships.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
* Experience in crisis communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Automotive industry experience highly desirable.
