SEQH operates from company owned sites in Hemmant and Toowoomba, as well as a third site at the Port of Brisbane.
As part of continued growth, we are seeking a Finance Manager to join the senior leadership team and take ownership of the accounting and finance function across the business.

About the Role
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial health, integrity, and compliance of the organisation. This is a senior, hands-on role overseeing accounting operations while supporting the Managing Director and leadership team with accurate reporting, analysis, and commercial insight.
The role covers a multi entity operation and includes responsibility for statutory compliance, consolidated reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and internal controls.
SEQH manages all accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial accounting in house. The finance function operates in close alignment with operational teams across transport, workshop, and logistics activities.
This role is based on site at Hemmant.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities
* Ensure compliance with ATO, payroll, superannuation, and state revenue obligations
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Deliver consolidated monthly reporting and financial analysis
* Maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks
* Manage tax compliance and liaise with external chartered accounts
* Support strategic decision making through commercial financial insight
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
About You
You are a senior accounting professional who is comfortable operating in a hands-on, operational business.
You will ideally bring:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* Senior experience in an accounting or finance leadership role
* Strong multi entity reporting and compliance experience
* Proficiency in MYOB AccountRight or similar systems
* Payroll experience, with Employment Hero experience advantageous
* Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
* Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
* Experience within road transport, logistics, or asset heavy industries advantageous
