About the Role
Our Assistant Nurses (AIN) support hospital staff in patient care duties, working as part of the healthcare team within the scope of practice and in accordance with state legislation. You will assess patients using therapeutic skills and respond to patient, visitor, and customer inquiries. This role is based in our Interventional Suite, which caters to both adult and paediatric patients for planned and unplanned procedures and surgeries. The suite includes 14 operating theatres, a hybrid theatre, a cardiothoracic theatre, 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs, 4 Procedure Rooms, a 41-bed Recovery Unit, Anaesthetics Service, and Sterilising Services Department. The service operates 7 days a week, from 06:30 to 21:30, with after-hours on-call support.
Essential Criteria:
* Certificate III/IV in Community and Health Services or Personal Carer from an approved provider
* Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork
* Previous experience as an Assistant In Nursing is desirable

If successful, your salary will be based on your registered nursing experience and current Enterprise Agreement, ranging from $24.86 to $27.28 per hour.
