The Role
The Cultural Leader will play a vital role in supporting the engagement of Aboriginal people in our programs.
This position requires someone who is passionate about promoting cultural awareness and understanding, and who has excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Aboriginal Health Team to develop and maintain partnerships with local communities and organisations.
They will also provide advice and support to our staff members, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to deliver effective and culturally sensitive services.
As a key member of our team, the Cultural Leader will contribute to the development of strategies and initiatives that promote health equity and improve outcomes for Aboriginal people.
They will also work directly with young people, helping them to connect with their community and access opportunities for education and employment.
What We're Looking For
* Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
* Have a strong understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people and their health
* Be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people
* Have experience in developing and maintaining successful partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and communities
* Hold a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a related field
