Software Development Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team, working with the Defence Science and Technology Group in a small development team. The role will involve providing software development support to further develop the Data Management and Science & Technology Reports platforms, including Dspace and Redbox.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in customising and deploying full stack web applications, along with proficiency in Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript and Java. Experience in Linux administration, Web Application configuration, Docker and current Web Development Frameworks and languages is also highly desirable.
The role requires skills in building Java and Angular applications from provided source, as well as manual installation of packages when required. Proficiency in code modification and addition is essential, with experience in database management and development skills a plus.
* Essential Criteria:
* Demonstrated experience customising and deploying full stack web applications and their associated CI/CD pipelines
* Demonstrated experience with Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript and Java
* Demonstrated experience in Linux administration and Web Application configuration
* Demonstrated experience with current Web Development Frameworks and languages
* Demonstrated experience using Docker
* Desirable Criteria:
* Demonstrated experience with DSPACE
* Demonstrated experience with RedBox
* Database Management and Development skills
* Experience with Python
To be successful in this role, you must:
* Hold a current NV2 or higher Defence Security Clearance
* Have minimum 5+ years of industry experience
* Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
* Have demonstrated consulting skills
* Be able to work independently or as part of a team
