Capital Project Engineer - Northern Loop

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Capital Project Engineer to lead the delivery of our capital program across our Northern Loop operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project engineering and capital delivery, with experience managing multi-discipline projects from concept to completion.

As a key member of our national engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering our capital program across two key sites - Racecourse and Mackay Port. Your expertise will help drive reliability, safety, and operational excellence across our Northern Loop operations.

In this role, you will take ownership of delivering our capital program, ensuring projects meet operational, reliability, safety, and quality standards - on time and within budget. You will work closely with site and national teams to bring strong engineering know-how and project management skills to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and aligned with our long-term business strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Leading the end-to-end delivery of capital projects across our Northern Loop operations

* Managing annual and long-term capital plans to ensure projects align with business strategy, safety, and sustainability objectives
">
* Providing hands-on technical support and ensuring seamless integration of projects with operational and reliability needs
">
* Overseeing contractors and multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver work safely, on time, on budget, and to specification
">
* Leading a strong safety culture by ensuring risk assessments, Permits to Work, and site safety policies are consistently applied
">
* Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are fit-for-purpose and add real value
">
* Preparing capital funding estimates and ensuring financial targets, reporting, and governance requirements are met
">
* Driving continuous improvement and best-practice execution across safety, quality, and cost performance
">

You will be an experienced engineer with a trade qualification and post-trade certification or a Bachelor of Engineering. You will have at least 5 years of project engineering and capital delivery experience in manufacturing or heavy industry. Additionally, you will need to possess strong stakeholder management and contractor coordination skills, as well as exposure to lean principles or continuous improvement practices.
