Key Responsibilities
* Mentor and develop customers' personal interests and hobbies.
* Coach independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social tasks.
* Administer medication and follow individual support plans.
* Complete clear, concise handover notes and incident reports.
* Provide personal care activities (toileting, showering, feeding, dressing) when required.
* Facilitate engagement with local communities and cultural activities through Community Participation Programs and recreational events.
* Ensure comfort and knowledge in providing personal care.
* Possess diabetes management knowledge or training (ideal).
* Possess peg feeding knowledge (ideal).
* Provide community access support as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
* Strong communication skills, able to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers.
* Current driver's licence (mandatory).
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
* Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003.
* Formal qualification in Disability, Community Services, or similar (advantageous).
* Driver's licence and comprehensive insurance coverage.
* Medical knowledge is highly regarded.
