Exciting opportunities await a passionate and experienced Registered Midwife to work at one of the finest maternity and neonatal facilities in the country and to join the team at a private hospital in Bendigo. This is a part-time opportunity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Midwife, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-standard nursing care in consultation with the healthcare team, patients, and carers;
* Providing safe, holistic, and customer-focused patient care;
* Ensuring nursing care is documented accurately and in a timely manner;
* Implementing and documenting medical treatment orders, consulting with doctors if orders are unclear;
* Assessing the need for and providing health education to patients and carers;
* Maintaining respectful, courteous, and compassionate communication with others;
* Upholding confidentiality of patient information as per the Privacy and Confidentiality agreement and policy;
* Delivering effective verbal and written communication, ensuring patients, carers, and the interdisciplinary team are included in immediate and ongoing healthcare.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife;
* An understanding and knowledge of relevant acts, codes and standards relevant to current practice;
* Recent clinical experience in an acute care/relevant environment;
* Commitment to personal and professional development;
* Well-developed skills in communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem solving;
* An ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.

REMUNERATION
$42.30 - $59.75 per hour.

The 167-bed facility in Bendigo provides specialty medical and surgical services, allied health, and community-based care including rehabilitation, physiotherapy and home nursing for patients across Bendigo and surrounding regions. The hospital delivers high quality care in a comfortable environment, with key services including maternity, cancer care, colorectal surgery, day surgery, dental, coronary care and endoscopy.
