The Business
Impact North is an Aboriginal-controlled not-for-profit organisation driving social enterprise and Indigenous business development across Northern Australia. The Opportunity
As a Programs Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth delivery of Impact North's programs. Reporting to the Programs Coordinator, you will provide administrative and coordination support across events, workshops, and initiatives that build capability and opportunity for Indigenous businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating participant onboarding, communications, and program records
* Managing email lists, scheduling, and program documentation
* Supporting workshops and events, including logistics, guest check-in, and materials preparation
* Assisting with light digital engagement, including social media posting and photo/video capture
* Maintaining accurate data and filing across systems and CRMs
* Providing responsive support to program leads and external facilitators
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring strong organisational and administrative skills, a proactive mindset and a genuine passion for community impact.
You will ideally have:
* Demonstrated experience in administration, events, membership, or customer service roles
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Confidence in drafting emails, managing records, and supporting program logistics
* Familiarity with Google Workspace and CRMs (or ability to learn quickly)
* Experience working with Indigenous communities (highly regarded)
* High attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset
* Willingness to travel occasionally to regional/remote NT locations
Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
* National Police Records Check
* Working With Children Check
