About the role
This full-time Planner role at Tarong Power Stations (TPS) offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and delivery of short- and long-term maintenance work plans. You'll work closely with the outage delivery team, engineering, and operations to ensure tasks are well-prepared and resourced—whether planned or reactive. With a flexible four-day work week and the autonomy to manage your own workload, this role is ideal for someone with mechanical or planning experience who thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment.
Key activities include:
- Develop and communicate accurate work plans for maintenance tasks
- Prepare detailed work packages with scopes, drawings, and forecasts
- Coordinate both planned outages and urgent reactive maintenance
- Provide regular reports on job plans and suggest improvements
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure plans meet operational needs
- Guide and align other planners to ensure consistent processes
About You:
- You hold a relevant trade qualification, ideally in mechanical engineering
- You bring experience in heavy industry or power station environments
- You're confident using CMMS tools like ELLIPSE and other planning systems
- You excel at building relationships across engineering and operations teams
- You're organised, proactive, and thrive on solving complex problems
- You're a natural mentor, helping others improve planning and delivery
