Before you read on, ask yourself:
Are you an experienced Project Manager who takes full ownership of safety, people, execution and budget, not just in title, but in practice?
Are you the type of person who's more driven by doing a cracking job than by a pat on the back, someone who steps up when trusted with real responsibility?
Do you see yourself as a problem fixer at heart, someone who leads with clarity, holds the team accountable, and is ready to be the person where the buck stops?
If yes, read on.
True Grade Contracting specialises in high-end architectural and structural concrete across Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast. We design and build formwork systems of all types, handle our own excavation, and deliver quality concrete structures from the ground up.
We need a Project Manager who takes real ownership, brings structure and drives projects forward. This is not a role for someone who needs hand-holding. You'll contribute from day one and help build better processes as we scale.
The Role
Working closely with the Director and site foremen, you'll plan, coordinate and deliver multiple projects, on time, on budget and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities:
· Planning, programming and scheduling projects end to end
· Coordinating labour, plant and materials across active sites
· Reading and interpreting structural drawings and specifications
· Managing variations, RFIs and project documentation
· Tracking progress against program and budget
· Communicating clearly with clients, builders, architects, engineers and site teams
· Supporting foremen and crews to deliver quality outcomes
What We're Looking For
We need someone who leads with structure and initiative, takes ownership, solves problems early and earns respect through action. You have a strong understanding of formwork, reinforcement and concrete construction, read drawings confidently and build efficiently without compromising quality or safety. Digitally, you're well versed in estimating, take-offs and project management software, skilled in MS Project, Asta or similar, and keen to improve how things run. You understand project costs and variations, identify risks early and deliver on time and within budget.
Background
Formal background in project management, construction management or engineering preferred. Practical site experience in formwork, concrete or structural construction is strongly preferred, along with experience managing multiple projects and teams concurrently.
What You'll Get
· Permanent full-time role with a strong forward pipeline
· Salary package aligned with experience and responsibility
· Fully maintained vehicle, fuel card, phone and laptop
· Real ownership over how projects are planned and delivered
· Work across residential, commercial and marine sectors
· A team that values quality, accountability and doing things properly
The Right Fit
This role suits someone who:
· Takes pride in their work and thrives on responsibility
· Has initiative and a strong work ethic
· Enjoys improving systems and bringing order to busy environments
· Leads confidently and earns trust through consistency
· Works to a high standard and expects the same from those around them
· Encourages a strong and positive team culture
