MRI capability is essential for this position.
Diagnostic radiologists may work remotely for some of their work.
A contribution to the after-hours reporting roster is generally required.
There are opportunities to pursue subspecialty interests.
Staff specialists who accept managerial responsibilities are remunerated according to the Award, VMOs are remunerated by sessional payments for that component of their work.ISLHD Medical Imaging operates from 5 hospital based sites in the Illawarra Shoalhaven District : Wollongong, Shellharbour, Bulli, Shoalhaven (Nowra) and Milton-Ulladulla Hospital.
We are currently planning for a major expansion of services at Shoalhaven and Shellharbour as part of $ billion redevelopments for these sites anticipated to commence in *********.ISLHD Medical Imaging employs more than 200 staff including Specialist Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Registrars in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Radiographers, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Nursing staff, Administration and Allied Health Assistants.We complete about 200,000 diagnostic examinations annually.All NSW Health workers are required to have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or have an approved medical contraindication certificate.
