ABOUT THE ROLE
Maxwell Underground Mine are current seeking an enthusiastic Logistics Officer to join our Team. Reporting to the Logistics Superintendent, the role will primarily be responsible for providing operational and administrative support by assisting with the planning, coordination, and monitoring of coal logistics from mine to customer.
The incumbent will support the execution of production, processing and logistics plans and ensure coal movements are visible, coordinated and aligned with production, CHPP Processing, Stockpile Capacities and Customer shipment schedules.
Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Support and monitor TOP (Take or Pay) commitments and relationships for above rail provider, below rail and Port
Assist in scheduling coal quality and quantity from mine to raw coal stockpile, through CHPP, to port, to vessel with input from Logistics Superintendent
Assist in monitoring rail and port performance and escalate delays, cancellations or conflicts to the Superintendent.
Assist in preparation and distribution of daily and weekly logistics plans including:
Train Schedules
Coal Clearance and movements from Mine to CHPP
Stockpile and Stacking Plans
CHPP Feed and Product Clearance
Product Coal Quality
Identify and resolve logistics issues or delays, escalating risks where necessary
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs
Actively promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements in all logistics activities.

ABOUT YOU:
To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
Prior experience in coal logistics.
Proficiency in the application of Microsoft Excel and Word software
Advanced level of computer literacy
Proficient in project and contractor management.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline would be advantageous.
