About the role: We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Senior Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will ensure compliance with accounting standards, lead timely month-end closes, and support continuous process improvements. This is a well-rounded role within a collaborative and experienced finance team, offering exposure across financial accounting, business partnering, and process improvement. What you’ll do: Lead the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate revenue and cost of goods sold recognition, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Take ownership of the consolidated balance sheet through account reviews, variance analysis, and proactive resolution of discrepancies. Coordinate with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to drive accurate reporting, efficient processes, and operational excellence. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to support audit readiness and statutory compliance. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise processes and implement best practices across financial operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Commercial, Operations, and Product) to deliver meaningful financial insights, influence decision-making, and drive strategic outcomes as a trusted finance business partner. Mentor and support junior finance team members, fostering their development and contributing to a high-performing team culture. Qualifications and Experience: ACA, ACCA, CA or CPA qualified. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in financial reporting, month-end close, and working cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment. Strong technical understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and Tax Law. Attention to Detail: Meticulous in preparing journals, reconciliations, and compiling audit-friendly supporting documentation.
