At Curtin Medical School, we are proud to deliver Western Australia's only undergraduate-entry medical program – one that is deeply committed to improving health outcomes across our communities. We are seeking an experienced, people-focused Admissions Coordinator to play a pivotal role in guiding aspiring medical students through their journey to join Curtin's Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program.
Your new role
* Collaboratively coordinate the end-to-end admissions process for the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), including application assessment, shortlisting, and managing the selection process.
* Provide comprehensive guidance and support to applicants, with a strong emphasis on supporting those from rural and low socioeconomic backgrounds.
* Deliver course, admission, and selection advice to prospective students and key stakeholders.
* Perform community outreach activities, including school visits (especially in rural and regional areas), campus tours, and university expos to promote the medical programme.
* Organise and coordinate interview programmes for shortlisted applicants, handling logistics for both candidates and interviewers.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
* Work closely with the University Admissions Centre and liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure an efficient and effective admissions process.
Selection Criteria
* Relevant degree with senior administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Excellent organisational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with diverse communities.
* High level of proficiency in computer systems and software.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Willingness to travel and work outside normal office hours.
* A current WA driver's licence and Working with Children check.

* Desirable: Prior experience in higher education / university admissions, student recruitment and/or events management.
Role Requirements
You will require work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this position to be considered. Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin's satisfaction. A current WA driver's licence, National Police Clearance, and Working with Children Check are required. Workdays: we are happy to negotiate rostered work days with the successful applicant.
About the Team
The Curtin Medical School (CMS) encompasses the disciplines of Medicine, Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, and Medical Radiation Science. CMS forms part of the Faculty of Health Sciences and is affiliated with two research institutes; the Curtin Medical Research Institute (Curtin MRI) and the enAble Institute for Health Science (enAble). The School's mission – "To improve health in society through excellence and innovation in teaching, research and engagement with the university and global medical and bioscience communities" – encompasses a wide range of research in laboratory, clinical and community settings, a suite of eight undergraduate courses and Higher Degrees by Research in multiple disciplines.
