The Role
We are seeking a professional, experienced and highly proactive Senior Executive Assistant to provide high-level, confidential support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) (DVCR) and the DVCR Office (DVCRO), enabling the effective leadership of the Research Portfolio across the University.
In this critical role, you will manage complex executive priorities, coordinate communications, engagement, reporting, and governance, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic activities across research operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the DVCR's primary and trusted point of contact, analysing and prioritising urgent and sensitive matters to facilitate optimal use of the DVCR's time.
* Provide comprehensive executive and administrative support within the DVCRO.
* Manage diary, correspondence, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics for the DVCR (and support the Executive Director, Research).
* Research, analyse, collate, and coordinate reports and communications issued from the DVCR's office.
* Support Research Portfolio governance committees, including secretariat functions.
* Partner with stakeholders to deliver projects, programs, and services impacting research operations.
* Lead and contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes and capability across the Research Portfolio.
* Provide finance-related administration including budget monitoring, purchase orders and reconciliation.
About You
You are an experienced executive support professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced executive environment, enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in delivering high quality support and values team success. You will demonstrate (selection criteria):

* High levels of discretion, diplomacy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
* Polish and professionalism and demonstrate a proactive, efficient and positive working style.
* Confidence in building strong relationships across a large and complex university environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical, and problem-solving capability.
* Experience planning complex domestic and international travel arrangements.
* Advanced digital literacy including Microsoft Office and online meeting tools, with the ability to quickly learn university systems.
* A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent professional experience is required.
