Our core business encompasses sugarcane and sweet potato production, a compost facility and farm development and earthmoving capabilities. About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter or a mechanic with agricultural experience to join our Greensill Fabrication & Machinery team. Reporting to the Head of Facilities & Maintenance, you will support servicing and maintenance of our plant and equipment, including 20 CAT Assets and 50+ John Deere fleet. This role will work across our various locations in the region, including Bargara & Wallaville.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Providing breakdown support to our fleet and irrigation equipment across various locations.
* Performing maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and undertaking repair activities in a safe and timely manner.
* Ensuring all maintenance is completed in a timely and efficient manner
* Ensuring that all equipment down time is kept to a minimum by providing technical expertise and assistance
* Ensuring that all activities are undertaken according to safety policies and procedures
About You
* Trade Qualified
* Experience working with heavy earth moving and farming equipment is desirable but not essential
* Effective communication skills
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
