Accounts Assistant - Engineering Consultancy (Part-Time)
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our busy engineering consultancy office. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a professional services environment who is confident managing invoicing and following up outstanding payments.
This part-time position requires 20 hours per week with flexible weekday scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
* Raising and issuing client invoices using Total Synergy (or similar project‐based accounting software)
* Monitoring accounts receivable and maintaining accurate records
* Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email in a professional manner
* Liaising with project managers to ensure correct billing information
* Reconciling invoices and assisting with general finance administration
* Supporting the admin team with ad‐hoc tasks as required
About You
* Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Receivable role, preferably within an engineering, architecture, or consulting environment
* Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Accounts Assistant or Accounts Receivable roles is required
* Experience with Total Synergy or similar project management/accounting software
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Confident communication skills when dealing with clients and internal staff
* Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
