We're Hiring
As a trade qualified Plumber, you'll undertake a wide range of general plumbing and irrigation works at Flemington Place. You'll work both independently and alongside a tight-knit team to deliver exceptional services.
The Details
* General plumbing - maintenance, installations, repairs, hydraulics works and maintenance of pumps and of pit and underground services.
* Fault finding and problem-solving.
* Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications.
* Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
* Ability to work autonomously and self-motivated.
* Maintain accurate records of completed planned works for all VRC plumbing assets.
* Flexibility and reliability – you'll be part of a 24/7 operation in the peak event period. (Melbourne Cup Carnival)
Skills & Experience
* Construction white card (desirable)
* Elevated work platform licence (desirable)
* Domestic and commercial plumbing experience - Kitchens, bathrooms, spouting and roofing.
* Knowledge of pumping systems and plumbing hydraulics.
* Solid maintenance background.
* Experience in the use of backhoe and civil vehicle and plant highly (desirable)
* Sound knowledge of workplace safety and OH&S requirements.
* A positive, can-do attitude – every role contributes to the success of the Club and the Carnival
* Ability to work autonomously and self-motivated.
* Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
